Yahoo News: Jeremy Doody (R) watches as Remus Medley (L) walks on his hands across the finish line of the 116th Boston Marathon after his legs cramped up in Boston, Massachusetts April 16, 2012.
Barstool: Yeah I’m sure the reason Remus Medley walked across the finish line on his hands was because his legs cramped up. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact he didn’t get enough attention as a kid and needed people to look at him and say “Look at the guy crossing the finish line on his hands. Look how awesome he is. Let’s tell him how great he is”
I agree, to an extent. He definitely was showing off a bit. You don’t do something like that for no reason. But seriously, he just ran a huge marathon in blazing heat and you’re really going to knock the guy down? Some would call it dedication and drive. Give him his props for even finishing it. I’m sure sitting behind a computer all day looking up nonsense and stuffing your face with junk food all day could carry you across the finish line.
